Star Wars At Wynwood Walls!

What To Do In Miami

This new Star Wars mural recently completed at Wynwood Walls is sure to turn tourists heads! According to Timeout Miami, there are really no concepts in Miami that can compare to the Wynwood Walls. It is sort of a walkable outdoor museum, where entire buildings have replaced the usual gallery canvas. The works are impressive in their scale and are reflective of the spunky personality that put Wynwood on the map as Miami’s art district. Certain murals have remained the same over the years, but usually—around December for Art Basel—new murals pop up in a matter of days.

Inside the Wynwood Walls, there are a couple food options. There is the very popular Wynwood Kitchen & Bar, an upscale restaurant that specializes in shareable dishes like the 48 Hour Crispy Pork ($15) and the grilled baby octopus ($10). Portions aren’t huge but the food is good. For a quicker, on-the-go option try Jugofresh, a colorful juice shop that serves cold-pressed juices ($11), smoothies ($8–$13) and acai bowls ($9).

The Wynwood Walls is the undisputed selfie capital of Miami and chances are you’ll recognize some of the murals from the profile pics in your Facebook feed. Ron English’s “Hulk Boy” is a great option for those looking to strike a pose. Don’t be shy about it either. Feel free to snap away. Photos are encouraged and practically required. You get bonus points for creativity.
